Here is Lotus lake, and at it’s center a path leading into the lake. It’s lovely to be able to get away from crowded streets and be able to hear your own footsteps on the stones.

Such Great Heights

Taiwan is this incredible island-nation that somehow flourishes in spite of its contradictions — Western ambitions / Eastern philosophies, ancient buildings / new architecture, youthful vibrancy / old-fashioned values. It’s an intense side-by-side contrast, but somehow it works, and it works so vividly, unlike anywhere else I’ve seen.
